Springtime in Texas

Don't blink or you'll miss it. The blissful two or three weeks when the once-in-a-decade ice has melted but the hundred days over 100 degrees hasn't yet begun. I am referring to the Texas Springtime. For me, it means that Fredericksburg peaches are just around the corner and flip-flops are now everyday appropriate footwear. Of course, living in Austin, flip-flops are pretty much appropriate year round.

This morning I packed away all of my Valentine papers, heart stickers, and XOXO stamps and brought out my Alice in Wonderland stamp collections. And yes, you read correctly, collections, plural. I suppose I still want to take tea with the Mad Hatter.

I also tried Disc Golf for the very first time today. Hubs is basically an expert and even bought me a few "girl" discs to practice with. Although my hand-eye coordination skills left much to be desired, I did thoroughly enjoy being in the woodsy Disc Course soaking up some sun.

Who ever thought I would actually look forward to being outside, let alone playing a sport! So far, am loving 2011.
